Are you our next Compliance Analyst?
Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the role focuses on maintaining an effective BAU Compliance program and helping to evolve the program to strengthen its rigour, effectiveness and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality and pragmatic compliance advice to stakeholders across the Bank.
- Manage and effectively resolve incidents and breaches.
- Coordinate the Bank’s Obligation Management and related Assurance programs.
- Monitor the regulatory compliance landscape to identify regulatory changes likely to impact the Bank.
- Develop and maintain policy artefacts that support the Compliance Risk Management Framework.
- Manage the Bank’s primary Risk & Compliance system.
- Generate high quality Compliance reporting for the Board and Executive team.
- Perform assurance testing of the Compliance Program and Obligations Management attestations.
The role provides the opportunity to develop an end-to-end understanding of the Bank, engage with the Executive and Senior Leadership team, and influence the evolution of the Bank’s Compliance Risk Management Framework within a mutual bank.
About You
You are a risk and compliance professional able to work across a diverse workplace with multiple initiatives, solid stakeholder management, high attention to detail and an enquiring mind. You will use problem solving, initiative and judgement to overcome challenges and thrive in a dynamic environment.
You have:
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience in financial services with a focus on risk & compliance activities.
- A good understanding of the contemporary retail banking and financial services regulatory environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance or Compliance (highly desirable).
You will also have demonstrated experience or skills in:
- Building relationships and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analyzing complex situations and identifying workable solutions.
- Using contemporary risk & compliance frameworks in practice.
- Developing and conducting monitoring & testing activities.
- Preparing data and reports.
- Self-managing your work to achieve deadlines; and
- Working autonomously.
