Key Responsibilities
* Audit and monitor site practices to ensure compliance with relevant standards;
* Mobilize new and used assets to site, including inspections, planning, coordinating defect repairs, and critical inspection reviews;
* Foster risk assessments, implement effective change management practices, and plan/coordinate statutory and critical asset inspections;
* Design initiatives, upgrades, and improvements to maintenance equipment/process requirements for certification and fabrication;
* Develop and review mechanical improvements on downtime/reliability issues;
* Find cost-effective solutions to technical and process efficiency-based problems;
* Support and coordinate maintenance facilities/infrastructure projects, incident investigations, and reporting.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
* Experience supervising mechanical personnel in open-cut operations;
* Asset management/maintenance experience highly regarded;
* Experience using, developing, or managing document control systems;
* Advanced Microsoft Excel and Autodesk Inventor (CAD software) skills highly valued;
* Positive attitude and drive to learn;
* Understanding of safe work practices;
* Understanding of outcome-driven cost-effective solutions;
* Understanding of Australian Standards;
* Strong report writing and auditing skills.
