About the opportunity: Are you a skilled and motivated individual with a passion for ensuring safe and efficient operations in the concrete industry? We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor or Batcher in charge to join our team at Newman. As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in managing the production process and maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service. You will join an experienced team with career development and progression opportunities available throughout the region.
Responsibilities
* Concrete batching & front-end loader operations.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Management System.
* Manage the water and waste management system, adhering to environmental requirements.
* Oversee concrete production, meeting customer specifications and deadlines.
* Optimize truck and personnel scheduling to ensure efficient operations.
* Maintain stock levels by ordering raw materials and conducting regular inventory checks.
* Coordinate equipment maintenance and engage contractors when needed.
* Provide leadership and support to the production team.
* Handle administrative tasks and contribute to operational improvements.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a production or supervisory role.
* Previous batching experience would be an advantage.
* Strong knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet production deadlines.
* Effective leadership abilities to motivate and develop a diverse team.
* HR Truck license, Front-end loader certification and LF forklift license (preferred).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Roster
* D2 Roster based on 2 weeks on and 1 week off 11 hours per day.
