This is an appointment for Permanent Full Time at 76 hours per fortnight.
About The Role
As our first Psychosocial Risk Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of building and embedding a proactive evidence based psychosocial health and safety framework across CAHS. This is a chance to shape something from the ground up - designing systems, tools and strategies that move us from reactive responses to proactive, preventative action.
You will work with leaders, frontline staff and external partners to assess risks, deliver education and create practical solutions that strengthen resilience and promote a culture of early intervention.
This is not about writing policies that gather dust - it is about delivering meaningful change and empowering leaders and teams to act with confidence and make a real difference.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement a service wide Framework for Psychosocial Health and Safety at CAHS, aligned with WHS legislation, ISO 45003, and the WA Code of Practice.
- Conduct psychosocial risk assessments and hazard analysis, using validated tools such as People at Work.
- Facilitate focus groups, engage stakeholders, build capability and confidence among leaders and workers with practical tools and resources.
- Translate data into action—identify trends, shape prevention strategies and drive measurable impact.
- Collaborate with care across HR, WHS, Organisational Development, to integrate best practice into workforce planning and worker support.
- Provide expert consultancy on psychosocial safety to CAHS leaders and workforce.
- Support prevention strategies in high-risk areas (e.g. emotionally demanding work, transition support for new graduates, paediatric clinical settings).
- Contribute to service evaluation, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a hands on, engaging, and resilient safety professional with a strong risk management background. Someone who can build relationships, influence change, and bring people along on the journey. Experience in rolling out psychosocial safety and risk programs in other industries will be highly regarded.
