About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an established Finance Manager to support the Perth Seawater Desalination Plant (PSDP) within our Operations & Maintenance Alliance. Reporting to the Alliance Manager and working closely with the Alliance Management Team (AMT), this highly autonomous position will manage a significant yearly budget and is pivotal to the financial and commercial success of the plant. The role goes beyond BAU accounting; it's a transformation-focused position that will lead the rebuild and improvement of reporting tools and processes.
Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of accurate financial accounting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support informed decision-making.
Manage a significant yearly budget and rebuild/improve reporting tools and processes.
Account for Contractual Finance, understanding the O&M contract to manage invoicing, cost recharge mechanisms, and client reporting.
Drive commerciality by proactively working with the leadership team to improve margin and identify opportunities to optimise the contract baseline.
Serve as the primary financial interface with the client, Alliance partners, and internal stakeholders, fostering transparency and trust.
Provide forward-looking financial insights impacting current month performance and long-term completion forecast.
Qualifications
Established and self-driven Finance Manager with strong technical capability in core finance functions and exceptional commercial awareness.
Significant experience in Contractual Finance, managing complex contract terms to achieve commercial outcomes.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance (essential). CA/CPA qualifications highly regarded.
Experience with financial reporting systems and advanced Excel skills (necessary).
Excellent communication skills; ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders from site teams to executives.
