Job Description About the roleWe are currently seeking a new Mechanical Engineer to join our Production Engineering team.
This role would suit someone with approx 1-2 years post graduate experience.In this role you will be involved in developing efficient systems, processes and machines that result in the production of our high-quality products.
You will also look to identify opportunities to streamline our manufacturing processes and workflows to maximise efficiencies and overall productivity.
You will learn how to develop and optimize tooling and machinery for new product introduction and continuous improvement in operational KPIs.
You will also be required to troubleshoot processes to achieve quality standards and optimise asset utilisation.This is a full time, permanent role working Monday to Friday 6am to 2:30pm, based onsite in our Coomera manufacturing facility.Duties will include:Work within the Production Engineering team to develop complex tooling and machinery from the concept up to the final delivery protocolDevelop understanding in dimensional analysis and process-machinery and manual jigs troubleshootingTooling selection after cost and life analysisDevelop process manufacturing skills in Machining, Welding, Plasma cuttingWork with factory and engineering for all automated needs Desired Skills and Experience What we are looking forDegree qualified in Mechanical EngineeringFamiliarity with LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologiesKnowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool designFamiliarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniquesAbility to multitask yourself across multiple projectsCommitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulationsUnderstanding of/ exposure to relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Full Australian working rightsDo you want to be valued and rewarded for your hard work?
