Recruitment Pool
North Regional TAFE is seeking to establish a recruitment pool to appoint suitable applicants as vacancies arise. This is an open pool recruitment process which means there is no closing date for applications and the following should be noted:
* You can submit your application at any time.
* Assessment of applications is expected to be conducted every 3 months; however, we may assess applications at other times depending on operational needs.
* Applications received after the above date will be included in the next round of assessments.
* You will be advised of the outcome and will have the opportunity to seek feedback and reapply at a later date should you be found unsuccessful.
* North Regional TAFE reserves the right to extend or cease advertising at any given time in the future.
Applicants found suitable will be placed in the pool which may be used to fill full‑time, part‑time, permanent or fixed‑term vacancies with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency.
Appointments may be made for a period of 24 months starting from the day following the closure of the breach of standard. Please note that being placed in the pool does not guarantee your placement in a position.
Industries with Current Demand
* Automotive - including heavy, light vehicle and heavy diesel (mobile plant)
* Building and Construction - including building design and/or registration, carpentry & joinery, civil construction including plant operations, construction, high risk tickets and rail infrastructure
* Electrical and Electrotechnology – including automation/robotic control systems, electrical engineering and instrumentation
* Fitting and Machining - Including the use of the precision tools, mechanical components to repair and assemble machining components
* High Risk - Holds a WorkSafe WA High Risk Assessors License or have the ability to obtain one. LF, WP, DG, RB, CN
About the Position
We are looking for an inspirational lecturer who is passionate about passing their vocation onto the workforce of the future.
These positions will be delivering qualification in Automotive, Electrical and Construction at our Pundulmurra Campus.
To be successful you will have the following…
* Significant relevant industry/ vocational or lecturing experience (minimum of 5 years)
* Relevant vocational qualifications and/or competencies at least to the level to be delivered and assessed, including:
* AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
* AUR31120 Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
* CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent)
* UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (or equivalent)
* MEM30105 Certificate III Engineering- Mechanical Trade Fitting & Machining (or equivalent)
* WorkSafe WA High Risk Assessors License
It is preferred that applicants already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or can demonstrate willingness or progression towards achieving it.
