We are on the lookout for a dynamic News Editor to join our Canberra-based team at the Parliamentary Press Gallery in Australian Parliament House (onsite role only). If you're ready to dive deep into the pulse of government activity, this is your moment.
Our Ideal Candidate
* Recent Graduate in Law, Politics or Media looking for an alternative career path; OR
* Editor with prior content production, copy editing or publishing experience looking to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities
Supporting the Editorial team on shift you will play a central role in our mission to deliver comprehensive parliamentary intelligence services to our clients by:
* Curate & Publish : Gather, edit, and publish timely public-source news materials.
* Anticipate & Alert : Deliver real-time, accurate news updates to our subscribers.
* Write Smart : Craft concise, topical and engaging editorials that keep pace with the week in Parliament.
* Collaborate Across Teams : Ensure top-notch content quality and comprehensive coverage.
* Customer Support : Assist subscribers with research queries and content needs.

* Deadline Mastery: Expertise in working to tight deadlines, seamlessly navigating fast-paced environments, and juggling competing priorities.

Location
This role is strictly Canberra-based and onsite. You must be able to work from our Canberra office in Parliament House.
