The Role
This is a hands‐on position based in Hawthorn, Vic. Reporting directly to the CEO – NIIM, you will play a key leadership role in:
* Managing the nursing team.
* Providing clinical guidance to the medical administration team.
* Liaising with Integrative GPs and allied health professionals.
* Ensuring compliance with all documentation, systems, and processes as required for AGPAL accreditation, Best Practice and Clinical Governance purposes.
* Ensuring protocols are correct and up to date.
In addition to leadership responsibilities, you will also provide direct nursing care across NIIM's IV Clinic and patient therapy treatments, including patient assessments and practice support.
A core focus of this role is maintaining patient safety and quality of care, including infection prevention, and control measures, and escalation of care when required.
* Nursing Leadership – Supervise, train, coach, mentor and support nursing staff, manage rosters, and contribute to workforce planning and development.
* Nursing Care – Provide safe, evidence-based patient care in the IV Clinic and across NIIM and therapies.
* Accreditation & Compliance – Implement and maintain documentation, systems, registers and processes aligned with AGPAL accreditation, RACGP and all clinical and governance standards.
* Infection Prevention & Control – Ensure adherence to infection control standards and protocols.
* Quality & Safety – Contribute to quality improvement and Work Health & Safety (WHS) systems.
Key Selection Criteria
* Bachelor of Nursing with minimum 5 years postgraduate experience.
* Current AHPRA Division 1 registration (unrestricted).
* Strong clinical leadership and team management skills.
* Experience, knowledge and clinical skills in IV therapy cannulation, PICC line and port care, or medical-surgical nursing.
* First Aid and CPR certification.
* High level of computer literacy (Best Practice, PRODA, HPOS, MS Office; Practice Hub advantageous).
* Experience in or willingness to contribute to AGPAL accreditation requirements.
* Understanding of the principles of Integrative Medicine within a GP clinic setting.
* Willingness to undertake training in hyperbaric and hyperthermia treatments.
* Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
* Flexibility to work varied hours
* Ability to work collaboratively, support the wider team and flexibility to work varied hours between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday.
* Skills in workforce planning, rostering, and budget management.
