Maintenance Person - Trade Assistant

Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Maintenance Technician to support ongoing maintenance and improvement works across our Metallurgy operations. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone with strong practical skills who enjoys variety and works safely in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with general site maintenance and repairs across multiple Metallurgy departments.
- Support maintenance and calibration of laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
- Perform basic handyman duties (painting, minor fabrication, general upkeep, etc.).
- Help ensure a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
- Participate in preventative maintenance schedules and improvement projects.
- Follow site safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Trade assistant or handyman background in industrial or workshop environments.
- High‑Risk Work Licence (Forklift) preferred.
- Working at Heights certification is advantageous (training provided).
- Basic understanding of safety systems, including JSEAs, SWMS, and Take 5s.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliable, proactive attitude with attention to detail and commitment to safety.
