Parkes Shire Council is offering Apprentices, Trainees and Cadets opportunities as part of the Fresh Start for Local Government Grant Funded Program.
We are seeking motivated individuals with skills and qualities including being motivated and willing to learn, reliable, trustworthy and punctual, flexible team players with good communication skills, ability to problem solve and use self-initiative, ability to work in a team environment, good communication, organisational and time management skills and having a genuine interest in the role.
The CAT Program provides on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring from experienced professionals, with all training and study costs paid for by Council. The programs run from two (2) to eight (8) years in duration, depending on the level of qualification being undertaken.
As a trainee you will be employed under the Traineeship Band of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. The commencement level will be based on age and any prior qualifications/experiences. You will progress through the traineeship band on an annual basis dependent on satisfactory work performance and course progression.
