Merkle is a leading data-driven Customer Experience Management (CXM) company that specializes in the delivery of unique, personalized customer experiences across platforms and devices. We are now excited to invite applications for the role of Senior Experience Designer with our team in Melbourne or Sydney.

The role: As our next Senior Experience Designer at Merkle, you will develop experience strategies and visions that support valuable outcomes for Merkle's clients and their customers. We are looking for someone who loves working with designers, analysts, strategists, developers, and directly with clients to bring ideas to life. You will also be learning about new techniques and approaches to bring to our clients.
Core responsibilities:
1. Lead the delivery of world-class work and bring excellent experiences to life
2. Apply design fundamentals including typography, colour theory, layout, motion, and accessibility
3. Conduct research and exploration to develop insights, translating findings into design rationale
4. Work closely with cross-functional teams to design digital experiences
5. Support the growth of the team and develop your design skills
6. Work with various brands to improve their customer experiences
7. Explore new design tools, methods, and ways of working
A bit about you:
1. 6+ years of experience in developing big ideas and designing complex interactions
2. Experience conducting research and translating findings into design rationale
3. Ability to interpret and challenge briefs, delivering on time and budget
4. Experience leading collaborative design workshops with clients
5. Expert in modern design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, ProtoPie
6. Strong storytelling and presentation skills
7. Experience with iterative approaches like Agile, Lean, Design Sprints
8. Stakeholder management and facilitation skills
9. Collaborative across creative, technology, and strategy teams
