Position: Lecturer (Level B, $111,031 - $131,335 per annum) or Senior Lecturer (Level C, $135,388 – $155,696 per annum) plus 17% superannuation.
Role Summary
Manage and deliver teaching and research in Aerospace Engineering, building capability across dynamics, modelling and computation, numerical and experimental aerodynamics, and clean energy. Create high‐impact, interdisciplinary research programmes in collaboration with scientists, engineers and industry partners, while mentoring students and contributing to academic leadership.
Responsibilities
* Manage and deliver teaching and research in Aerospace Engineering.
* Develop and deliver courses and curriculum in areas such as dynamics, modelling and computation, numerical and experimental aerodynamics, and clean energy technologies.
* Create high‐impact interdisciplinary research programmes in collaboration with scientists, engineers and industry partners.
* Mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, providing research supervision and academic guidance.
* Contribute to academic leadership and the ongoing success of the School's engineering programmes.
Qualifications and Experience
* PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, with expertise in the aerospace engineering research area.
Level B Requirements
* Demonstrated research ability that supports the School's research strengths in experimental, design, and numerical modelling of next‐generation aerospace technologies, fluid processes in aerospace applications, and clean energy processes.
* Record of research achievements evidenced by publications in high‐quality refereed journals or conference proceedings.
* Demonstrated ability to teach effectively using evidence‐based pedagogy that promotes student engagement.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English with both students and staff.
* Ability to carry out administrative duties as directed by the Head of School efficiently.
Level C Requirements
* Substantial record of research achievements evidenced by publications in high‐quality refereed journals or conference proceedings.
* Demonstrated ability to win significant research funding.
* Substantial record of effective teaching using evidence‐based pedagogy that promotes student engagement and experience as lecturer/course coordinator.
* Record of successful curriculum development or pedagogical innovation.
* Demonstrated ability to attract and supervise postgraduate students.
