Medical Receptionist Opportunity in Pain Management Practice
We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our warm and close-knit Pain Management practice based at the Wesley Hospital. As a medical receptionist, you will be responsible for welcoming patients into the practice in a friendly and professional manner, managing all incoming and outgoing correspondence via phones and emails with patients and other medical professionals, and preparing patient clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Welcome patients into the practice and manage their communication
* Prepare patient clinics and coordinate theatre lists for anaesthetists
* Liaise with hospitals and ensure patients are consented for procedures
* Provide administrative support to the practice manager and specialists
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a medical receptionist or secretary within a private surgical specialist practice preferred
* Experience using a practice management software platform such as Genie and/or Gentu
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Immaculate personal presentation
* High level of communication and interpersonal skills
Benefits:
This is a part-time opportunity offering 24 hours per week, commencing in early September. You will work closely alongside the two medical secretaries, practice manager and practice nurse. A competitive hourly rate is negotiable for the successful candidate based on experience.
A handover period of 2-3 weeks will be provided to ensure a smooth transition. Consistent support from the practice manager and other administrators will also be available.
