The Current England Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service (NEBIRS) is a regional, community-based multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing high-quality rehabilitation and case management services across the New England region.
We support clients aged 0 to 65 who have sustained an acquired brain injury, primarily traumatic in nature.
Our team focuses on outreach rehabilitation that facilitates clients' successful transition from hospital back into the community.
We work closely with clients and their families, delivering individualised, client-centred care that promotes independence and improves quality of life.
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to deliver person-centred physiotherapy and case management services across diverse settings including transitional living units, client homes, community environments, and virtual care platforms.
You will manage complex caseloads of clients living with acquired brain injury in the community, ensuring rehabilitation aligns with the NSW Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program (BIRP) principles.
Collaboration is key - you will work closely within an interdisciplinary team and liaise with external stakeholders such as i-care, CTP insurance companies, and private rehabilitation providers across the district.
Travel within the local health district is a requirement of this role.
About You
You are a skilled and compassionate physiotherapist with a passion for improving outcomes for people living with acquired brain injury.
You confidently manage complex caseloads, are an effective communicator, and bring strong problem-solving abilities.
You thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to continuous learning, quality improvement, and culturally respectful practice.
What We Offer
Comprehensive orientation and ongoing training tailored to brain injury rehabilitation
Supportive leadership from the Service Manager and connection with peer professionals across NSW Brain Injury Units
Access to statewide resources and collaborative networks
Regular supervision sessions and support for professional development
Requirements

Current eligibility to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances
