Team Leader – Environmental

Are you dedicated to making a difference? Do you think and live Green? Take the lead and make an impact with this role, we are seeking a Team Leader for our new environmental maintenance team within our construction area.
Hours: 7am-4pm Monday-Friday
The Role
As a valued experienced Team Leader, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
* Oversee environmental projects and ongoing maintenance of work at each stage of a project.
* Daily planting, watering, mulching, chemical spraying, brush-cutting, hedging, weeding, blowing, pruning, litter pick up.
* Manage projects during both maintenance phases to adhere to budget and timeline requirements and in addition to specifications and drawings.
* Liaise with contractors and external stakeholders to plan, prepare, and action works.
* Liaise with traffic and traffic management personnel.
* Coordinate staff and resources; equipment, and materials for each project phase.
* Maintain adequate quality control to ensure no rework is required.
* Ensure that a daily toolbox meeting is conducted, and staff attend this prior to commencing work on each site.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Team Leader (essential)
* Current Victorian Driver's Licence (essential)
* Bachelor's Degree or relevant Diploma/Trade in Construction or Landscape Management or Horticulture/Environmental Science (desired)
* 2+ years minimum of relevant experience in Natural resource management or Environmental management within the Construction/Horticulture/Consulting/Landscape/Urban Development industry.
* Proven ability to execute a broad range of environmental/horticultural maintenance projects.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy/detail.
* Sound technical knowledge of plants and landscaping techniques
