The Clinical Nurse Consultant – NMCGU works within the Office of the Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery Services – Hospitals South, supporting the provision and delivery of high healthcare standards and coordinating best‐practice, safety and quality systems for Nursing and Midwifery across Hospitals South.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead high‐level professional clinical governance, practice improvement and safety culture initiatives.
* Support the development and implementation of quality improvement and clinical risk management activities.
* Collaborate across clinical services and professional disciplines using a business partnership model.
* Apply and promote best‐practice principles throughout the organisation.
* Serve as a positive role model for nursing and midwifery staff.
Prerequisites
* Advanced clinical expertise with awareness of contemporary health service delivery ensuring optimal patient care.
* Comprehensive knowledge of NMSI's, NSQHS, Clinical Care and Professional Standards, and health‐service legislation and clinical governance systems.
* Experience guiding and motivating multidisciplinary teams in quality improvement and risk management efforts.
Eligibility
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Desirable: relevant postgraduate qualifications and experience with healthcare data reporting systems.
* Current driver's licence.
Benefits
* Salary: $118,297 to $125,543 per annum (pro‐rata), with 12% superannuation contribution.

Appointment Details
