The Role
As the EL 1 Project Manager, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of project, commercial, engineering and logistics specialists to plan, lead and manage all aspects of Nulka project delivery. This position is based at Russell, ACT, supporting broader Navy capability outcomes across the EFFECTS program.
This will entail:
* Working closely with Defence industry to manage procurement exercises and contracts of varying scale and complexity;
* Developing, implementing and monitoring high level project plans, schedules, cost estimates and governance artefacts;
* Managing budgets, including tracking, planning and resource allocation;
* Providing authoritative, evidence based advice to senior leadership on planning, priorities and resourcing;
* Ensuring strong integrity, security, governance and risk management are upheld across the capability life cycle; and
* Leading and coaching APS and contractor staff, setting priorities and driving coordinated project delivery.
About our Team
EWIS Maritime SPO manages multiple Electronic Warfare systems across both surface and sub-surface fleets, including the Nulka Decoy Product and a range of Sensors and Electronic Attack systems in both acquisition and sustainment phases. The SPO delivers capabilities to both the Australian Defence Force and the United States, with Nulka being one of the highest-priority and highest-tempo products in the organisation.
This position forms part of the geographically dispersed EFFECTS Integrated Delivery Team, working closely with APS staff, military personnel and contractors to ensure supported Electronic Warfare capabilities are delivered in accordance with operational and compliance requirements, budget and service agreements.
