Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2) – Direct Access Colonoscopy – Permanent Part Time
South Western Sydney Local Health District – Liverpool Hospital, Liverpool, NSW.
Employment Type:
Permanent Part Time, 22 hours per week.
Remuneration:
$***** – $***** per hour.
Responsibilities
Support and guide patients who have a positive bowel cancer screening test through the colonoscopy booking process.
Provide patient education, pre-procedure counselling, and emotional support during the colonoscopy pathway.
Facilitate multidisciplinary communication and coordination of care.
Identify and address potential safety risks or quality improvement opportunities in colonoscopy care.
Qualifications & Experience
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Minimum 3 years of post-registration experience in a clinical area relevant to colonoscopy or gastrointestinal nursing.
Post-graduate qualification(s) in the relevant clinical specialty or equivalent experience recognized by the hospital.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and culturally responsive care skills.
