Job Description
As our Defence portfolio continues to grow, our Digital Engineering team is looking to appoint a Digital Engineering Coordinator to play a key role across a large, complex, and long‐term Defence program. We're seeking an experienced digital engineering professional who brings strong BIM governance capability, a collaborative mindset, and the confidence to work independently across project teams.
This role can be based anywhere in Australia, including Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide, with regular travel to Adelaide required.
* Provide independent BIM and digital engineering governance across a high‐profile Defence program, conducting model audits, data validation, and supporting multi‐discipline model federation to uphold information quality and project standards.
* Act as a trusted Digital Engineering SME, advising project teams, design managers, and clients on best practice, technical solutions, and the effective use of platforms including Autodesk ACC (Forma), Revit, Revizto, ProjectWise, and SharePoint.
* Drive end‐to‐end digital information management – from project planning and design through to delivery and into operations – ensuring data is structured, accessible, and supports informed decision‐making at every stage.
* Collaborate closely with project delivery, design management, and program management teams, integrating digital engineering workflows into broader project governance without sitting in a traditional project delivery role.
* Lead and mentor a small team of Digital Engineering and Digital Systems specialists, helping to coordinate workload, support their professional growth, and ensure the team delivers consistently to project milestones and client expectations.
Qualifications
* Significant experience in Digital Engineering, BIM, or infrastructure project environments, ideally 10+ years – with exposure to large‐scale, complex, or Defence‐related programs highly regarded.
* Strong hands‐on proficiency across digital design and information management platforms, including Autodesk ACC, Revit, Revizto, Navisworks, ProjectWise, and/or 12D Synergy.
* Solid understanding of BIM processes and information management frameworks, with ISO 19650 knowledge or certification considered a strong advantage.
* Relevant qualifications in Digital Engineering, Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Services), Architecture, or a related discipline – although we place significant weight on practical, on‐the‐ground project delivery experience.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to operate across technical teams, project leadership, and clients alike. A willingness to travel to Adelaide at least monthly is required.
Australian citizenship is preferred, with current defence clearance highly regarded.
Benefits
* Flexible work arrangements, including alternative start/finish times, part‐time, job‐sharing and hybrid work options.
* Purchase up to 6 weeks additional annual leave per year.
* Swap public holidays – swap Easter or other holidays for ones that suit you better.
* Continuous learning and growth – lunch and learns, professional development courses, financial study assistance, 5 days paid study leave, global career opportunities.
We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities, additional health or mental health needs, and/or neurodiverse conditions. If you require any adjustments during the hiring process, please let us know.
