Family Support Role
Anglicare SQ is seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join their team in Inala. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic assistance to children and families, improving their wellbeing by educating and supporting them.
This 7 Month Fixed-Term Part-Time position involves working 60.8 hours per fortnight, based in Inala, servicing the Brisbane and Ipswich Region. The role requires Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm working hours.
The salary for this role is award payrate from $37.34 per/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct intake assessments via phone, online, and face-to-face to determine eligibility and complete psycho-social assessments for complex needs.
* Perform client risk assessments and safety planning; maintain accurate case records.
* Provide outreach services as needed and negotiate appropriate fees with clients.
* Advocate for client rights and collaborate with child protection and other agencies to achieve service goals.
* Develop and deliver client/community education workshops; prepare case and court reports as necessary.
* Work with individuals, families, and couples to enhance self-awareness and relationship skills.
* Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Diploma in Children, Youth and Family Intervention, Mental Health or similar (this is an essential requirement of the role).
* Current National Police Check.
* Current Blue Card.
* Current Queensland Driver Licence.
* Ability and willingness to travel within the service region.
* Ability and willingness to work outside of standard business hours, including on-call work.
