About the Role
As our next Boilermaker, you will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, maintenance, and installation of structural steel, chutes, pipework, and general heavy industrial components.
You'll interpret engineering drawings, operate a range of fabrication equipment, and perform high-quality MIG and Stick welding across workshop and site environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabricate, assemble, and install steel structures and components to engineering drawings and specifications
* Perform high-standard welding, cutting, gouging, and grinding
* Carry out repairs and maintenance on heavy industrial and fixed plant equipment
* Assist with shutdowns and onsite works as required
* Conduct inspections and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
* Identify and troubleshoot fabrication and mechanical issues
* Maintain accurate job records and follow workshop procedures
* Promote safe work practices and contribute to a positive safety culture
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Relevant Metal Fabrication or similar AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV, or at least three years of relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification
* Minimum 12 months proven experience in fabrication, welding, and industrial/mechanical maintenance
* Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Safety, Health & Environmental awareness and commitment.
* A team player with strong communication and relationship-building skills
