About the role
Reporting to the Chief Member Officer, the Head of Marketing and Product plays a critical leadership role in translating enterprise strategy into insight‐led marketing, strong brand positioning and innovative product outcomes.
This role leads the Bank's Marketing, Communications and Product functions, ensuring alignment between member needs, commercial outcomes and regulatory obligations. You will set strategic direction, lead high‐performing teams and drive sustainable growth through differentiated value propositions.
Key responsibilities
* Set enterprise‐level strategy for marketing, communications and product, translating business and retail banking strategy into compelling member value propositions and sustainable growth outcomes.
* Lead integrated marketing and communications across brand, media, digital, content and member engagement, ensuring strong brand presence, improved member engagement and measurable commercial results.
* Own the end‐to‐end product portfolio, including product strategy, lifecycle management, governance and roadmap delivery, ensuring products meet member needs, commercial objectives and regulatory obligations.
* Champion insight‐led decision making, leveraging data, analytics and responsible AI to improve marketing effectiveness, product design, portfolio performance and member experience.
* Build and lead high‐performing teams, fostering a collaborative, contemporary culture supported by modern tools, capability uplift and strong leadership practices.
* Partner across the organisation and externally, working closely with internal stakeholders, regulators, media, community partners and third‐party providers to deliver compliant, responsible and well‐governed outcomes.
About you
You are a commercially astute, strategic leader with deep experience across marketing, communications and product in a regulated environment. You balance creativity with discipline, and innovation with compliance.
You will bring
* Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Commerce or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Extensive senior‐level experience in marketing, communications and product management
* Demonstrated experience in financial services or another regulated environment
* Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to ADIs
* Proven ability to lead and develop multi‐disciplinary teams
* Experience leading both product and marketing functions within a financial institution
* Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving growth and portfolio performance
