Accounting Professional Required
We are seeking a highly skilled accounting professional to lead our financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement functions.
This role will involve taking ownership of key processes, including the preparation of monthly and year-end group consolidations, statutory financial statements, and external audits.
You will also be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our general ledger and chart of accounts, as well as coordinating with external tax advisors on corporate income tax returns, FBT, and BAS.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of consolidation processes and AASB accounting standards, as well as experience in corporate tax compliance and reporting.
A background in Big 4 or Mid-Tier firms is highly regarded, but not essential. We are looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills who can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Lead the preparation of monthly and year-end group consolidations in line with AASB, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments.
* Produce statutory financial statements for group and subsidiary entities, ensuring they meet AASB standards.
* Coordinate and manage external audits, acting as the main point of contact for auditors.
* Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.
* Prepare and review corporate income tax returns, FBT, and BAS for Australian entities in partnership with external tax advisors.
* Calculate and record monthly and year-end tax provisions, including deferred tax and tax effect accounting under AASB.
Requirements:
* CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
* 2–5 years post-qualification experience, ideally within a large group environment.
* Strong knowledge of consolidation processes and AASB accounting standards.
* Demonstrated corporate tax compliance and reporting experience.
* High proficiency in Excel and ERP/consolidation systems.
* Background in Big 4 or Mid-Tier firms is highly regarded.
* Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
