About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and energetic individual to join the City. The Coordinator Building Maintenance leads and manages the Building Maintenance sub-unit, with responsibility for maintaining the City’s building assets. Based at the Ashby Operations Centre and reporting to the Manager Asset Maintenance, you will form part of the Asset Maintenance leadership team working closely with customers and stakeholders throughout the City.
About you
In this business-critical position, you will bring a sharp business mind to maximise operational efficiency. As an experienced leader, you will be capable of managing workflows and coordinating the safe delivery of maintenance activities, whilst letting your natural leadership abilities, strong communication skills and customer services skills shine.
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Facilities Management, Building Maintenance or Business.
- Significant experience in a similar role within local government or a large and complex organisation.
- C class Drivers Licence
- Knowledge of business planning, resource planning and budget management.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Advanced people management skills to direct, manage, evaluate and motivate staff.
- Advanced communication (written, verbal and public speaking) as well as negotiation and influencing skills.
- Advanced skills in research and analysis, problem solving and organisational skills.
- Advanced skills in the efficient utilisation of information systems and technology.
- Knowledge of the practical application of occupational health and safety measures in the workplace, including risk assessment and control implementation.
- Extensive knowledge in contract management.
