Overview
The role of the PE Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.
Essential Selection Criteria
* Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
* Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
* Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across the PD/H/PE Syllabus.
* Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
* Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
* Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.
Desirable Selection Criteria
* Experience teaching Physical Education (K-6).
General Capabilities
* Well‑developed interpersonal skills.
* Well‑developed oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong organisational skills.
Qualifications
* Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K6.
* Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
* The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.
Working with Children Clearance
This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
