The Role
As a Market Manager at Goodwill Projects, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of one of our iconic markets in Brisbane.
You will lead a team of vendors, build relationships with customers, and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
The market operates on either Saturday or Sunday, but not both. You will work closely with our Marketing team to ensure effective social media content and customer engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage stallholder applications and communication
* Plan and coordinate weekly market sites
* Liaise with vendors and ensure debt management processes
* Coordinate annual special events, including two major events per year
* Provide administrative support during the week, balancing office and remote work
Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a highly organised and confident individual with excellent customer service skills.
You will be comfortable working outdoors, physically fit, and able to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
Key skills include:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in customer management or a related field
* Strong customer service experience
* Problem-solving skills and ability to seek fast solutions
* Computer literacy, including database management
* Leadership experience, managing a small team and coordinating over 100 vendors
Working Conditions
This role offers attractive working conditions, with 1-2 days per week onsite at the market and a balance of administration during the week between the office and remote work.
