Family Counsellor Role
We offer mental health and wellbeing services for families and carers in the North East Metro region of Victoria. Our service is co-designed, governed, and led by individuals with lived experience as family members or carers of people with mental health and/or substance use challenges.
* The Family Counsellor will provide support, family therapy to families, carers, and supporters of people with mental health and/or substance use challenges.
* This role aims to deliver effective, accessible, and high-quality care to families and carers of people with mental health and/or substance use challenges.
This position will be co-located across our Lilydale and Ashburton Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect sites. This position may require working out of hours or on Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver family therapy to family members and carers of people affected by mental health or substance use concerns utilising evidence-based family therapy approaches.
* Developing goals with families and carers, helping them find ways to achieve their objectives.
