As a Licensing Coordinator, you will play an important role in ensuring the Department delivers accurate, timely and high‐quality licensing services. You'll manage or support the coordination of a small team, assess and process complex applications, and help customers and stakeholders navigate legislative and regulatory requirements. We value diversity and appreciate every individual's perspective, bringing together a diverse and inclusive workforce to drive innovation and success. Whether it is enabling good governance to local communities, regulating racing, gaming and liquor activities, resolving consumer and trade disputes, monitoring compliance, protecting workers' health and safety, or rolling out new technology to provide better customer service, LGIRS is committed to delivering for the benefit of WA and future generations.

The Role

The Licensing Coordinator supports the delivery of high‐quality licensing services by coordinating team activities to ensure work meets required timeframes, standards and legislative obligations. The role involves assessing, processing and auditing a range of applications, including more complex matters, resolving enquiries, and providing professional customer service across multiple channels. You'll also maintain accurate records using various systems and help build team capability through training, guidance and coaching, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical work with supporting others.

To be successful in this role, you'll need a good understanding of relevant legislation, strong problem‐solving skills, and clear written and verbal communication abilities. You will also show key leadership behaviours; building positive relationships, adapting to changing priorities, supporting others' development, and demonstrating professionalism and integrity in all you do.
