Teacher Science
Location: Jindabyne, NSW. School: Jindabyne High School, relocated to its new site in 2025.
Remuneration: Up to $156,253. Base salary $90,177 to $137,861, plus leave loading and superannuation. Recruitment Bonus up to $20,000. Relocation Support $5,000–$8,000.
FTE: 1.0. The position can be applied for part‐time up to full FTE. FTE selection is final.
About the School
New site on Ngarigo land, two hours south of Canberra. Approximately 300 students (3% Aboriginal). Focus on equity, resilience, student learning and a diverse curriculum.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess science for Years 7–10.
* Develop differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs.
* Use effective classroom management and wellbeing practices.
* Engage students, staff, parents and build relationships.
* Support students' pathways to tertiary study, trades and lifelong learning.
* Contribute to the school's values of respect, integrity and courage.
Qualifications & Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach Physics and 7‐10 Science.
* Experience designing and implementing quality teaching and learning programs.
* Ability to differentiate curriculum and focus on student growth.
* Well‐developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven classroom management and wellbeing skills.
* Unconditional full approval to teach required.
