For over 70 years Bethanie has been warmly welcoming older West Australians into a caring and personal environment. Our Bethanie community is enriched by the generous support of our caring volunteers.
Who we are looking for:
* Friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support our lovely residents at Bethanie Dalyellup who share a passion for singing and want to do something they truly love.
* Someone who enjoys seeing other people's faces light up when they hear a favourite song from their youth, or a song that reminds them of friends and family.
* No formal training required for this role, just the passion and joy of what singing and music can bring to people.
About the role:
* You will be able to choose appropriate songs for our group to learn, and there may be times when you all come together and entertain other residents.
* You will be guided in your role by the site's Therapy team, and Bethanie's Volunteer Services Team also provide ongoing support.
* Through regular ongoing visits, you will establish wonderful new friendships with residents, as well as staff and volunteer team.

Commitment
Regular - more than 6 months
Time Required
Flexible hours on any weekday for a minimum commitment of six months.
Training
Volunteers undertake online Infection Control and Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards training. All volunteers receive an orientation at site prior to commencement and further training when required.
