Experienced GP Practice Nurse
Z medicals–Leongatha VIC
Z Medicals is a new healthcare provider, recently opened, fully accredited general practice with commitment to offering high-quality medical services. Our practice requires the expertise of a Division 1, Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years experience in Community Health or Primary Care to join our clinic. in Leongatha. The position is permanent full-time, Monday-Friday working from 09:00am – 5:00pm.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience in either Community Health or Primary Care.
About the Role
Our practice nurse will work as an integral member of the clinical team and deliver culturally safe, high-quality clinical services and patient care in a warm and welcoming environment. This role is also required to provide medical administration support such as triaging clients and taking phone calls.
Key Selection Criteria
· Current Division 1 registration with AHPRA (copy required)
· Current CPR Certificate (copy required)
· Demonstrates a patient-focused approach
· Exceptional clinical assessment skills
· Computer literacy
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to prioritise and organise.
· Commitment to ongoing training
· Flexibility and willingness to work alone and as part of a team
· Current Victorian Driver's Licence
· Up-to-date vaccinations (immunisation history required)
· Candidates with any form of Australian work rights are acceptable for this position
Duties Include
· Initiating First Aid and emergency treatment (e.g., CPR, oxygen therapy, management of minor soft tissue injuries).
· Conducting health assessments and creating care plans.
· Wound management and administration of medications.
· Providing vaccinations (adult, childhood, travel, etc.).
· Blood pressure monitoring.
· Venepuncture
· Triaging
· Urinalysis
· Pregnancy Testing.
· Ear irrigation (if qualified).
· ECG
· Knowledge of the Medicare Benefits Schedule.
· Assist GPs with procedures.
· Other skills as requested by GPs or the management.
