About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our QLD office. This is a hands‐on, integral role where you will prepare accurate construction cost estimates, budgets, quotations, and repair scopes for small to medium insurance claims across residential and commercial properties. You will work closely with Project Coordinators, Supervisors, and our Major Loss & Specialty Builds team, ensuring timely and precise submissions. The role also includes elements of client engagement, contractor liaison, and business development, making it ideal for someone with strong construction and insurance industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed scope of works, budget breakdowns, and repair quotations
* Plan, schedule, and manage multiple small to medium construction projects
* Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to coordinate quotes and repair methodology
* Interpret engineer's drawings and plans for accurate estimation
* Prepare high‐level construction schedules for estimator submissions
* Ensure compliance with WHS regulations, permits, building codes, and Australian standards
Key Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in construction estimating, particularly in insurance building and property repairs
* Experience with both residential and commercial building projects
* Strong understanding of the construction process from concept to handover
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Supervisor License (Medium Rise/Open) highly regarded
* Ability to interpret plans, engineers' drawings, and building codes
