Edward River Council is seeking a forward-thinking and experienced leader to drive the delivery of infrastructure, asset management, and major projects that directly impact our community's future.

This is a key leadership role where you'll influence how we plan, deliver and sustain essential services from roads and water to community facilities and strategic assets while leading a high-performing technical team.

Position Details:

  • Full-time | 70-hour fortnight | 9-day fortnight
  • Flexible work options available
  • Grade 16 (Band 3 Level 4) ($118,570.40 - $148,078.18)

About the role:

As Manager Assets & Technical Services, you will lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of Council's infrastructure and asset portfolio.

  • Lead asset management strategy and long-term infrastructure planning
  • Oversee the delivery of capital works programs and major projects
  • Champion modern project management frameworks and governance
  • Provide expert engineering, infrastructure and contract advice across Council
  • Drive innovation, sustainability initiatives and the Net Zero agenda
  • Manage property, leasing and asset portfolios including community assets
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and service excellence.

What You Will Bring:

You are a strategic and commercially minded leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering community outcomes.

  • A Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Extensive experience in asset management, infrastructure and capital works delivery
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects, programs and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, procurement and funding programs
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, innovation and change leadership
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across stakeholders
  • A commitment to safety, risk management and continuous improvement
