Senior Software Engineer | C++, QT | UAS
Reqiva is partnering with an innovative Brisbane based technology and manufacturing business that designs, develops and delivers sophisticated end-to-end products used globally.
This is an opportunity to join a highly capable engineering team contributing to the design and build of a UAS platform for aerospace. The environment combines product development, manufacturing, hardware integration and software engineering, offering genuine exposure across the full product lifecycle.
This role provides the opportunity to work closely with hardware, manufacturing and product teams to develop solutions that directly impact real-world products and customers.
The Opportunity:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working with C++, Python, QT and working on physical device connectivity and autonomous systems.
The role would suit someone who enjoys building products from concept through to deployment and wants to operate within a business where software is closely linked to physical products and manufacturing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop and maintain software applications across the product suite
* Build and enhance mobile and desktop applications
* Develop software that interfaces with hardware systems and product platforms
* Collaborate closely with hardware, manufacturing and engineering teams
* Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions
* Improve reliability, performance and user experience across products
* Support integration, testing and deployment activities
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across products and engineering processes
* Mentor and support junior engineers where appropriate
Experience required:
This is a versatile product development environment, they are looking for experience broadly in the following areas:
* QT or OpenGL experience for desktop
* Embedded Systems
* UAS or autonomous systems
* Flutter or modern cross-platform frameworks
* Hardware/software integration
* Systems architecture and design
* Manufacturing, industrial technology or engineering-led environments
Experience working within technology product businesses, advanced manufacturing, automation, industrial systems, robotics, aerospace, electronics or embedded environments would be highly regarded.
