Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial Support
We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to provide commercial support across our UK business.
This role will involve providing general corporate and commercial legal advice, drafting reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, developing contract templates and policy documents, and ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, including development agreements, supplier agreements, and settlement agreements;
* Developing and maintaining contract templates and policy documents;
* Providing timely and accurate legal advice and support to the business on commercial matters, including liaising with external counsel;
* Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements;
* Managing contentious matters, including disputes and litigation;
* Identifying and mitigating risks to the business;
* Assisting in maintaining legislative and regulatory compliance throughout the business units;
* Maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders, including colleagues and external partners;
Key Requirements:
* UK qualified solicitor or solicitor qualified in another common-law jurisdiction;
* At least 5+ years of post-qualification experience;
* Experience within the building space is desirable but not essential;
* Excellent drafting skills and ability to work collaboratively;
* Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate effectively.
