As an Associate Lecturer/Online Educator at the University's Centre for Youth Mental Health and Orygen, you'll play a vital role in developing and delivering cutting-edge online courses in youth mental health. You'll have the opportunity to work with leading experts, contribute to innovative research, and directly impact the capacity of Australia's youth mental health workforce. This role offers you the chance to grow your skills in teaching, research, and clinical practice while being part of a world-renowned organisation dedicated to improving mental health outcomes for young people.
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop and Deliver Online Courses: Create and maintain engaging online learning content, coordinate subjects, and deliver live seminars for graduate students in youth mental health. Assess and Support Students: Provide empathetic guidance, assess coursework, and deliver high-quality feedback to support student learning and development. Contribute to Research and Evaluation: Support curriculum development, participate in educational research, and contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning. Collaborate and Innovate: Work with internal and external experts to develop new learning materials and participate in team initiatives to enhance youth mental health education.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a passionate educator with clinical experience in youth mental health, possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and deliver engaging online courses while contributing to cutting-edge research and workforce development initiatives.
You may also:
Hold a Master's degree in clinical psychology, occupational therapy, mental health nursing, social work, or a related field (or be progressing towards a PhD). Have experience in youth mental health clinical practice, including assessment and intervention. Possess a robust understanding of youth mental health and early intervention principles. Demonstrate experience in teaching mental health at a university level, particularly in online contexts. Have strong organisational skills and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Be committed to upholding the University's values of respect, diversity, and inclusion.
