Heartscope, a division of Scope Healthcare Ltd, is a well-established Cardiology testing provider with clinics across Melbourne. Due to upcoming expansion and staff development, we have exciting full-time opportunities at our South-East clinics for receptionist/technicians eager to build their careers in the Medical Industry.
Experience is not essential, though highly advantageous. Key qualities include a proactive attitude, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, excellent presentation, and interpersonal skills. The Role:
This is a dual role involving clinic reception and administration, as well as assisting with technician duties such as performing ECGs, Holter and BP monitors, sleep studies, lung function tests, and ECGs. Full training will be provided.
- You will work within a team, primarily at our Mooroolbark clinic, with rostered shifts at other regional sites to cover leave or busy periods.
- The schedule is a 76-hour fortnight, Monday to Friday, with shifts between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, lasting 7.5 to 8 hours each.
- Responsibilities include greeting patients, managing appointments, billing, payments, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Handling phone inquiries, booking and confirming appointments, and entering documentation into clinical software.
- Performing medical tests such as ECGs, Holter monitors, sleep studies, and lung function tests.
- Occasionally assisting cardiologists with stress echocardiography preparations.
- Managing office and medical supplies and equipment.
- Downloading and programming monitors as required.
Qualifications for Success:
- Full working rights and Australian permanent residency are essential
- Experience in medical reception or technician roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of medical software, especially HealthTrack, is highly desirable
- A current driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and keyboard skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Professional, friendly, and warm demeanor
- Self-motivated with a high standard of work ethic and pride in your work
- Note: Working with Children and Police Check certificates are required prior to employment.
