* Liaise with design authorities, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with engineering standards and naval requirements
* Support the DCE DDG cataloguing team as required
* Ensure that the DCE DDG tasks are safely conducted using processes and procedures that are compliant with WHS legislation and the BAE Systems SHEQ policies
* Participate in problem identification and analysis

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/or hybrid working.

About YOU

* Demonstrated experience working as a mechanical engineer or significant experience working in a mechanical trade role
* Experience in maritime, defence, or heavy engineering environments
* Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
* Ability to work on‑site in shipyard or dockyard environments, including onboard naval vessels
* Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
* Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
