Job DescriptionBabergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils - Ipswich, Suffolk IP1 2BX£36,124 - £42,078 per annum (pro rata for part time)Full Time, 37 hours per weekPermanentFull time, part time and job share opportunities will be considered.What we are looking forWe are looking for two Community Housing Officers to join our team in Housing Management. To be successful, you will share our values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.About the roleJoin our Housing Management Service as a Community Housing Officer and play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of tenancies and communal spaces. We are committed to providing safe, secure, and supportive living environments for all council tenants and leaseholders.The Housing Service has just been transformed and you will have a number of properties you will be fully responsible for, taking pride and ownership for the quality of the neighbourhoods and tenant satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:manage new lets, tenancy agreements and conduct home visitswelcome new tenants and provide necessary information and supportensure communal spaces are safe, clean and action hazards identifiedmaintain compliance with housing regulations and standardssupport tenants with housing issues and provide advice on housing optionsinvestigate anti-social-behaviour and resolve disputesdrive up tenant satisfaction by actively listening to concerns and providing timely solutionsserve as an ambassador for the organisation, promoting our valuescollaborate with partner agencies to problem solve, sustain tenancies and create communities.About youWe are looking for a professional person with knowledge of housing management, anti-social-behaviour, health and safety for residents and working within local communities.You will need to either hold, be working towards or commit to completing a CIH Level 3 qualification in Housing Management.We are also looking for you to:demonstrate passion to deliver quality customer and housing servicesenjoy engaging with residents to receive feedback to drive improvements and enhance customer satisfactionbe ambitious to succeed and be proud to represent the councilthrive on performance and exceeding personal targets and objectivesbe flexible to meet service demands and competent when using ICTwork collaboratively with colleagues to problem solvehave a full driving licence and access to a car to conduct home visits.About usWorking together across our councils and with our partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors, we provide excellent services to our 190,000 residents across Babergh and Mid Suffolk.We are proud of the role we play in creating the environment, economy, and communities for our districts.
