The incumbent supports the Presiding member, committee members, and secretariat by:
* Providing expert advice on complex matters related to child death and serious injury prevention.
* Overseeing death review processes and influencing legislation, policy, and practice to ensure child safety.
* Leading strategic direction, ensuring achievement of goals and outcomes.
* Developing effective relationships with key stakeholders.
* Maintaining policies and processes for child death review functions.
Key skills include:
* Research and analytical skills for identifying emerging issues.
* Ability to analyse and present policy matters clearly.
* Leadership and project implementation experience.
* Interpersonal and negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement.
