Your Role
We are seeking a growth-oriented Business Development Manager to drive new business across premier WA Government clients. This is a strategic hunter role. Your mandate is understand WA government procurement plans across funded initiatives and to prosecute effective pursuit strategies enabling us to successfully win major WA government procurements. The focus will be on deals $5-$30M in scale. In support of this objective, you will be able to leverage leading business practices delivering:
* Application Managed Services (AMS)
* IT and Cloud Managed Services
* Digital Transformation
* ERP modernization
* Business and Digital Consulting
You will pre-position opportunities, shape pursuits, and lead complex deal cycles from strategy through close, leveraging Capgemini Group's full offerings, IP, and global scale to differentiate and win.
Key responsibilities:
* Grow a book of WA Government business.
* Originate and lead pursuit strategy for multi-service deals (AMS, Cloud, Digital, ERP).
* Build and nurture senior relationships (CIO, CFO, DG level) across WA Clients.
* Collaborate with Capgemini service lines and partners (Microsoft, AWS, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle) to deliver integrated solutions.
* Drive pipeline creation and conversion to meet and exceed sales targets.
* Provide thought leadership on digital transformation and citizen-centric outcomes.
Your Profile:
We know this is a broad remit, so we're looking for evidence of strength in multiple areas from the list above, not perfection. Ideally, you bring:
* Proven hunter track record in WA Public Sector – origination and closure of large-scale deals.
* Experience in at least two of the following: AMS, Cloud Managed Services, Digital Transformation, ERP, Consulting-led sales.
* Ability to orchestrate complex pursuits involving multiple towers and partners.
* Strong understanding of WA procurement frameworks and panels.
* Excellent relationship-building skills with senior government stakeholders.
* 8+ years in business development or account growth roles within IT services.
* Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
