About the Role
This is a pharmacy back-end operations role, designed for an experienced Pharmacy Technician who wants to move away from day-to-day dispensing and into a core operational position supporting both our pharmacy and admin back end.
You will work primarily on back-end operations, workflow integration, troubleshooting, and process improvement, acting as a key link between our pharmacies, and internal systems. Your dispensary background will be used to improve how the business runs and not to fill shifts on the bench.
This is a predominantly non-dispensary role with influence across the organisation.
Candidates must have valid Australian work rights or appropriate work visa to be eligible for this position.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and support back-end pharmacy operations across Pharmacy and our specialty work.
* Act as an escalation point for operational issues from pharmacies and the call centre
* Troubleshoot workflow, PBS claiming, and system-related issues
* Identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical improvements
* Develop, document, and maintain SOPs and workflow guides
* Support teams with operational support and process training
* Liaise with pharmacists, technicians, leadership, and external system providers
What You'll Bring
Essential:
* Significant experience as a Pharmacy Technician in Australia
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in Australia
* Strong understanding of dispensing workflows and pharmacy operations
* Advanced knowledge of PBS claiming and compliance
* Strong operational mindset with excellent organisation skills
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Confidence working across systems and supporting multiple teams
Desirable:
* Experience in specialty pharmacy, chronic disease, or high-volume models (retail or hosptial experience is equally valued)
* Exposure to various workflows
* Experience in operations, systems support, or process improvement
* Interest in scaling and improving pharmacy operations
