Your Opportunity
As The Site Services Coordinator You Will
- Coordinate site-based activities and services to provide a safe, effective and appropriate setting for East Coast staff, students and visitors.
- In consultation with the Infrastructure Operations Lead develop and monitor plans, schedules and SLAs for the delivery of daily operational requirements to support a safe and positive experience of staff, students and site visitors.
This position reports to the Infrastructure Operations Lead. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. The position will be based primarily at our Nambour location, with potential work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and model Safety First, Working Together, Showing Initiative, Code of Conduct, Customer focus and Taking Responsibility to support transformation and cultural change.
- Manage, guide and develop facilities staff with training and professional development, ensuring understanding of TAFE policy and procedures.
- Actively participate in recruitment processes, coordinating with management and HR on interviews, probation milestones and performance management where required.
- Manage staff rosters to ensure adequate skilled staff while minimising overtime and contractor costs. Services include cleaning, grounds and equipment maintenance, opening/closing buildings, archiving, access control and repairs.
- Monitor site safety management including contractor inductions, safety observations, corrective actions, fire systems, SOPs and risk assessments.
- Maintain records in Archibus, process job orders, approve invoices, raise QBuild and contractor requests, prioritise in-house work, and close completed jobs.
- Monitor performance of site services staff and external contractors; follow up on delayed work and inspect completed work for quality and compliance.
- Foster positive relationships with educators, government departments, lessees, administration staff, user groups and traditional owners; influence and negotiate improved practices.
- Conduct routine site and fleet vehicle readiness inspections.
- Coordinate and monitor hires of East Coast facilities for external groups in line with regional procedures.
- Support improvements in business processes by liaising with East Coast Site Services teams to maximise resources, personnel and knowledge.
How You Will Be Assessed
- Demonstrated knowledge of applying reasonable adjustment in a complex work environment and experience supporting people with a disability in an educational setting.
- Ability to build positive relationships and participate in teamwork, self-management and change management.
- Strong drive to achieve goals using computing skills and general software packages.
- High-level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including written communication, tact, discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
- C Class manual licence
- First Aid Certificate
Highly Desirable Requirements
- Forklift Certificate licence
- Experience with fire systems
- Operational awareness of Health and Safety practices
- Experience with Fire Warden activities
- Background in working in trade environments
