Civil Maintenance Officer Job
* This is a diverse role that involves performing maintenance and construction tasks on road reserves, including drainage, concreting, signage, and street sweeping.
* The ideal candidate will have the ability to safely operate plant machinery such as skid steers, excavators, tip trucks, and street sweepers.
* Key responsibilities include carrying out manual tasks like lifting, raking, and digging, as well as conducting regular inspections and maintenance of equipment.
* The successful candidate will also be required to assess work sites for hazards and apply appropriate risk controls, following OH&S policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
* A Construction Induction Card is essential for this role.
* Competence in operating heavy mechanical plant and vehicles over 8 tonnes (MR licence or higher) is also required.
* In addition, strong understanding of civil maintenance techniques and excellent teamwork and communication skills are necessary.
* The ideal candidate will also be confident using digital tools like tablets for scheduling and communication.
