As Head of Department, you will lead and strengthen teaching and learning across Years 7 and 8, ensuring students experience engaging, high‑quality learning that supports future success. You will work closely with teachers and school leaders to drive improvement initiatives, build staff capability and promote a culture of high expectations and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead curriculum implementation and teaching and learning improvement initiatives.
* Use data‑informed practices to monitor progress and improve student outcomes.
* Coach, mentor and support teachers to strengthen classroom practice.
* Build staff capability through collaboration, professional learning and feedback.
* Lead teams and manage resources to support school improvement priorities.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, equity and inclusion.
* Build positive relationships with students, staff, families and community stakeholders.
* Support the implementation of departmental policies and legislative requirements.
