Description
Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment team as the F‑35 Depot Quality Site Lead. You will be responsible for all aspects of Quality and Mission Success at the Williamtown, Australia Depot. You will ensure the Product Support Provider (BAE Systems Australia) meets or exceeds overall product quality for aircraft inducted in the depot, oversee product and process verification, process and procedural compliance, and FOD prevention/detection within delivery processes. You will routinely interface with various functional and program areas to assure compliance, continuous improvement, effectiveness of inspection systems, and regular interface with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Quality Assurance representatives. Additionally, as the Quality Lead for the Williamtown, Australia Modification Repair Overhaul & Upgrade (MRO&U;), you will act as the primary liaison between Lockheed Martin Enterprise Sustainment Quality and the following parties: Product Support Provider (BAE Systems Australia), LM on Site MRO&U; Leadership, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)/Government Flight Representative (GFR), Joint Program Office, and F‑35 International Customers.
What You Will Be Doing
- Review/approve the Product Support Provider's (PSP) Quality Management Plan (QMP) for adequacy and alignment to the F‑35 Sustainment QMP and Quality Appendixes.
- Assist PSP with development of Consolidated Ground Operations Procedures to ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with DCMAI-8210.1.
- Capture, analyze, and report quality trend data.
- Review post‑modification Certificates of Incorporation, Certificates of Completion and Certificates of Return to Service for accuracy prior to aircraft delivery.
- Initiate Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and assist the PSP Quality Management team with Root Cause Corrective Action activities and approve Corrective Action Plans.
- Provide Quality Engineering oversight of the modification effort in accordance with the Time Compliance Technical Directives (TCTD).
- Provide Quality support for aircraft material defect investigation and nonconformance resolution process.
- Develop, execute, and tailor the site Surveillance Plan to ensure all DCMA 8210.1 requirements are being met in the Modification facility, Fuel Test facility, Final Finishes, and flight line areas.
- Ensure Depot adherence to AS9110 and other statutory requirements by conducting annual quality management process and product audits.
- Support DCMA Aviation Program Team Audit Activity.
- Perform Tool Trial Runs for mod tooling.
- Interface required with various PSP functional and program areas to assure compliance, continuous improvement, effectiveness of planning and inspection systems.
- Provide direction of daily operations and actively assist/ provide direction to junior employees as required using established policies and precedents.
- Develop work assignments, set individual and team expectations/ goals, drive accountability and recognize employee performance.
- Responsible for the development and training of assigned employees to ensure they are competent, capable, and effective.
- Must be a United States citizen. Must possess at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Management Systems structure and requirements.
- Skills in aircraft manufacturing & modification process tools to include one or more of the following: SFM, PDM, QADS, VAS, LDM, ALIS, CMMS, CRM (ARs), JTD, or SHM.
- Experience with Quality Assurance in flight operations and depot environments.
- Experience with interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management System and DCMA‑I‑8210 requirements.
Desired Skills
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Previous experience with deployed field operations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, employ, present, and react to performance‑based metrics.
- Ability to write, communicate, implement, and surveil quality assurance plans and procedures.
- Experience in foreign object debris, tool control processes, and aircraft ground operations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop corrective action plans for product & policy nonconformances.
- Knowledge and training with the F‑35 aircraft or other 5th generation platform.
- Skills in LM Supplier Quality Management Tools and Systems.
- Experience as an international customer support, field quality service representative.

Work Schedule
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. These schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week to condensed schedules, providing employees with additional time away from the office. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
