APG Workforce are currently seeking a Broiler Service Person based in Tamworth to support strong growth across livestock operations.
This position reports directly to the Regional Livestock Manager and plays a key role in providing technical advice and support to local contract broiler farms.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of broiler farms to meet processing plant requirements.
The Role:
* Placement and receival of day-old chicks
* Grow-out management
* Pick up and clean out processes
* Maintenance of farm and shed equipment
* Meeting customer quality standards
* Ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve maximum production performance from livestock
* Implement and adhere to company MOS (Minimum Operating Standards), quality, safety, and environmental standards
* Communicate effectively with contract growers, company staff, and management
* Analyse production data, identify issues, and implement practical solutions
* Train and support contractors and company staff where required
* Be available on call as required
About you:
* Extensive experience in animal husbandry, particularly poultry livestock
* A strong commitment to animal welfare, biosecurity, and environmental standards
* Proven leadership skills including conflict resolution and problem solving
* Sound knowledge of Quality Systems and WHSE procedures
* Strong communication skills
* A current driver's licence
