Analyst, Retirement Actuary role at AustralianSuper.
What You'll Do
* Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retirement Enablement, develop and maintain retirement research, analysis and modelling to support the Fund's Retirement Income Strategy and ambition to become a market leader in retirement.
* Build out robust retirement modelling capabilities to better understand members' retirement outcomes.
* Provide strategic insights from models and analytical techniques to inform the retirement and guidance proposition and influence the design of initiatives to drive better outcomes for members.
* Lead the evolution of retirement metrics and expand the Retirement Dashboard with leading indicators to aid management decision-making.
* Follow governance structures, policies and processes and assist with identifying improvements.
* Adhere to risk controls on processes, policies and systems to limit breaches; contribute to a team culture of compliance and risk management awareness.
* Assist with representing the Retirement Team across the Fund.
What You'll Need
* Tertiary qualifications in a finance, statistical, actuarial or business-related discipline.
* 10+ years of experience in advanced financial, statistical, actuarial or equivalent quantitative analyses.
* Deep technical knowledge and experience relating to retirement (potentially through superannuation, investment management, wealth management, etc).
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in data analysis and modelling superannuation systems and financial outcomes, including income projections.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Excel).
* Ability to identify when data and analysis are materially incorrect and to obtain solutions.
* Experience using analytics tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the legislative framework impacting the superannuation industry.
* Proactive and highly adaptable; strategic thinker with big-picture thinking across people, systems, process and data.
* Strong relationship and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment supporting multiple business units.
