About the Role
Our Emergency Department culture supports ongoing learning, from simulation space to paid leave for conferences. We encourage CMOs to complete the ACEM Emergency Medicine Certificate program within the first year.
Essential Requirements
* Qualified medical practitioner registered with current full general registration in Australia with at least three years post‐graduate experience.
* Appropriate training and experience to work towards a leadership role in the ED, including night shift leadership and support from Consultant FACEMS staff.
* Ability to guide junior medical and nursing staff across all elements of the Emergency Departmentli>
Key Responsibilities
* Provide patient care under the direction of supervising consultants.
* Improve clinical care processes, service coordination, patient handover, and discharge planning.
* Coordinate patient care by facilitating communication between specialties, administrative, and community services.
* Contribute to team building, mentoring, and training within the multidisciplinary team.
* Provide clinical advice and encourage effective communication for coordinated patient care.
